Our Story
In 1987 I began training as an Electronic Service Engineer in at the newly opened Information Technology Electronics and Computer College in Newry, Co.Down (ITEC).
It was during this time I completed Electronic Servicing Parts 1-3 and then went on to study Micro Electronics. In my previous years I completed a Foundation Construction course specialising in electronics and also a Full Foundation Construction Course with Distinction.
After finishing education I then served my time as an Auto Electronics Technician at a local Ford dealership gaining the qualification of Master Technician which included all aspects of Automotive Electrics, Mechanics and specialised training with Cosworth.
A job opportunity came up closer to home and I changed from the car trade to the TV repair business. I was a Field Service Engineer for seven years and then served for thirteen years as Field Service Manager. I have worked during this time directly with major companies such as Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, Philip’s and many others.
In my spare time I volunteered as a Engineer for Radio and TV broadcasts and during this time I had the privilege of setting up and supporting many studios along with broadcast equipment around the world.
As a result of this Churches started approaching me about repairing sound systems which I have done in my spare time. I have also installed complete systems for many Churches during my spare time.
In 2019 I decided to take the next step and approach the Go For It programme and make this business full time. From Jan 2020 I am available full time. I appreciate all who helped me in the past and I look forward to helping others in the future.
I specialise in Audio, Video, Smart home Technology, CCTV and Networking. I can design, source, install and commission your project. As a small business we enjoy getting to know about your personal requirements and we offer free advice on upgrades, repairs or new installations.
With installations in the Presbyterian, Free Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Rural Societies, Orange Halls, Schools, Farm yards and Commercial Business we have a wide range of experience in all situations.
Premier Sound Solutions is covered by Public Liability Insurance, Health and Safety Training with CSR cards and we are Vat registered for new builds.
